Driven By a Devine Calling

A Devine calling  is a call to a complete relationship with God and with the world around us. It encompasses all of a person's being and doing (our way of life).

"He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. " - 2 Timothy 1:9-10

It reminds us that the call to any particular kind of work is secondary to the call to belong to Christ and to participate in his redemption of the world.

Below you will find ways in which you can get more in touch with your own Devine calling:

Seek God's Will in Prayer: - Begin by spending time in prayer, seeking God's guidance and wisdom. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us to pray about everything.

Study the Scriptures: - Delve into the Bible to understand God's teachings. Psalm 119:105 emphasizes the importance of God's Word as a lamp for our feet.

Listen to God's Voice: - Cultivate a listening heart to discern God's voice. John 10:27 reminds us that God's sheep hear His voice.

Identify Your Talents and Passions: - Recognize the talents and passions God has given you. Romans 12:6-8 emphasizes using our gifts for His glory.

Connect with Like-minded Believers: - Surround yourself with a community of believers who can provide support and guidance. Proverbs 27:17 highlights the importance of iron sharpening iron.

Be Open to Change: - Trust God's plan and be open to change. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts.

Serve Others: - Actively engage in serving others with a humble heart. Matthew 20:28 teaches us that Jesus came to serve, and we are called to follow His example.

Stay Faithful in the Small Things: - Be faithful in small tasks, knowing that God is watching. Luke 16:10 reminds us that whoever is faithful in little will be faithful in much.

Persevere Through Challenges: - Expect challenges but persevere with faith. James 1:2-4 encourages us to consider trials as opportunities for growth.

Continuously Seek God's Guidance: - Maintain a continuous connection with God through prayer and seeking His guidance in all aspects of life. Proverbs 3:6 emphasizes acknowledging Him in all our ways.

The priority in finding and fulfilling your Christian calling is to become who God created you to be in close relationship with Him
