Regeneration Of Faith

Regeneration is a supernatural work of the Holy Spirit by which the divine nature and divine life are given to those who believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is also called being born again, because it is a new creation that transforms our hearts, wills, affections, and desires to love and obey God.
Regeneration is a gift of God’s grace, not based on our works or merits, but on His mercy and love, it is connected to the resurrection of Christ, who died for our sins and rose again to give us eternal life.

Regeneration is the beginning of our salvation, and it leads to

  • faith,
  • repentance,
  • justification,
  • adoption,
  • sanctification,

Some of the biblical signs of regeneration are:

  • Believing that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and the only Savior of sinners                                                                                                (1 John 5:1; John 3:16; Acts 4:12).
  • Loving God and His children, and keeping His commandments          (1 John 4:7-8; 5:2-3; John 14:15).
  • Having a living hope, joy, and peace in God, even in the midst of trials and sufferings                                                                                     (1 Peter 1:3-9; Romans 15:13; Philippians 4:4-7).
  • Bearing the fruit of the Spirit, such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).
  • Growing in the knowledge of God and His word, and applying it to our lives                                                                                                     (2 Peter 1:3-11; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; James 1:22-25).
  • Seeking God’s will and glory in everything we do, and not conforming to the pattern of this world                                                       (Romans 12:1-2; Matthew 6:33; 1 Corinthians 10:31).

If you want to regenerate your faith according to the Bible, you need to:

  1.  Repent of your sins and trust in Christ alone for your salvation (Acts 2:38-39; 3:19; Ephesians 2:8-9).
  2. Be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as a sign and seal of your regeneration and union with Christ (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:3-4; Colossians 2:11-12).
  3. Pray to God daily, and ask Him to fill you with His Spirit, grace, and wisdom (Luke 11:9-13; Ephesians 5:18; James 1:5).
  4. Read and study the Bible regularly, and meditate on its truths and promises (Psalm 1:1-3; 119:9-16; 2 Timothy 2:15).
  5. Join a local church that teaches sound doctrine and practices biblical worship, fellowship, and service (Hebrews 10:24-25; Acts 2:42-47; 1 Timothy 3:15).
  6. Share the gospel with others, and make disciples of all nations (Mark 16:15; Matthew 28:18-20; 1 Peter 3:15).
  7. Keep a positive attitude, and surrender your worries, anxiety, problems, and bitterness to God, and let Him help you and make the right decisions for every situation.
  8. Be generous, and use your gifts, talents, time, and resources to serve God and others (2 Corinthians 9:6-15; 1 Peter 4:10-11; Matthew 25:31-46).

I hope this will help you regenerate your faith and continue to live a godly life filled with purpose and joy..
